[오늘의 문장]

[해석]
각 세대에 의해 만들어지는 쓰레기는 직접 쓰레기 투하장에 가져와져야 한다. 그리고 각 세대에 의해 만들어 지는 쓰레기는 쓰레기 투하통 안에 넣어져야 한다. 아니면 각 세대에 의해 만들어지는 쓰레기는 직접 지하 쓰레기 압축장소에 가져다 놓아져야 한다.^[각주:2]

문법적인 걸 고려하지 않고 그냥 한국말을 어떻게 하는가를 먼저 고민하면 [오늘의 문장]이 잘 이해가 될 것으로 보인다. 즉, 똑같이 반복되는 부분을 빼고 문장을 샤프하게 만드는 것이다. 이건 의도적이라기 보다는 자연스러운 걸로 봐야 한다. 한국사람들도 아니 전 세계사람들 역시 단순 반복을 좋아하지는 않으니까 말이다.

첫번째 박스는 원문이고 아래는 의사블로그에서 생략된 부분을 채워넣은 것이다. 뭔가 찌릿 찌릿한 느낌이 머리끝에서 오는가? Trash generated by units should be taken directly to...에서 to의 용도가 느껴지는가? 이런식의 문장이 영어에는 참 많은 것 같다. 덩그라니 전치사가 끝에 남아서 해석하려 해도 도대체 이해가 안가는 부분이었는데, 위의 문장을 보면서 자연스럽게 이해가 되었다. 와... 놀랍고 (의사블로그에게) 고맙다.

[오늘의 문장]은 단문들을 매끄럽게 길게 연결시키는데 있다.  그럼, 아래에서 연습해 보자.
